A poche ore da Juventus-Monaco, semifinale di ritorno di Champions League, abbiamo intervistato due tifosissime: Antonella e Isa
E’ il giorno di Juventus-Monaco. Le due squadre, ad un passo dalla vittoria nei rispettivi campionati nazionali, si giocano un posto per la finale di Cardiff e, nonostante la vittoria dei bianconeri all’andata, nulla è ancora deciso. In occasione della super sfida abbiamo intervistato due grandi tifose, Antonella per la Juve e Isa per il Monaco. Ecco come ci hanno parlato delle loro squadre e cosa si aspettano da questa gara di ritorno.
1 – Come stai vivendo l’attesa della partita?
(How do you feel waiting for the match?)
ANTONELLA: “Stranamente ad oggi sono piuttosto tranquilla anche grazie alle convincenti prestazioni degli ultimi mesi, incidenti a parte, vedi Napoli. Dovrebbe essere un risultato a nostro favore”.
(Strangely I’m pretty quiet even thanks to solid performances of the recent months, above incidents like Naples. It should be a result favorable to us.)
ISA: “Sono molto emozionata perché è una semifinale di Champions League! Quando ami il calcio è incredibile poter vedere la tua squadra fra le ultime quattro! Sto facendo il countdown all’inizio!”
(I feel very excited because it’s a Champions’s League Semi-Final !! When you love football that’s so crazy to have your team in the last square !! So now I count the hours before the game starts!!)
2 – L’andata è finita 0-2 per la Juventus, te lo aspettavi?
(The first match ended with a 2-0 win for Juventus: did you expected this?)
A: “Più che aspettarmelo lo desideravo. È troppo tempo che ci arriviamo vicini, ad un passo dal sogno e poi… si infrange. La Juventus merita quella prestigiosa coppa”.
(I wanted it more than I expected. So much time we get close one step from the dream and then it breaks. Juventus deserves that prestigious cup.)
I: “Sì e no allo sesso tempo. Sì perché so quanto è vincente la Juventus quest’anno, ha grandi giocatori. So che sarà molto difficile perché il gioco italiano è molto duro. No perché penso che la mia squadra avrebbe potuto giocare meglio. Penso solo che fossero spaventati, non hanno giocato come hanno fatto solitamente quest’anno e per questo abbiamo preso due gol. Ma non è una catastrofe!”
(Yes and no in the meantime. Yes, because I know how successful is Juventus this season, with such great players. I knew it’s gonna be really hard as you have a strong way of playing in Italy. But also no because I thought my team would have played better. I think they were afraid, they didn’t play as they did normally this year, and that’s why we took these two goals. But that’s not catastrophic!!)
3 – Chi ruberesti agli avversari e perché?
(Who do you steal to your opponents and why?)
A: “Nonostante ritenga il Monaco comunque una squadra molto valida, giovane e attenta non ruberei nessuno… se devo fare un nome, però, trovo sia interessante per le capacità di inserimento e per il carattere che ha, Lemar”.
(Although I think Monaco is a very good team, young and careful, I will not steal anyone… if I have to name someone, however, I find it interesting for the insertion skills and for the character she has, Lemar.)
I: “Amo Subasic, il mio portiere, ma senza esitazioni dico Buffon! Gigi è un Re! E’ un giocatore fantastico, una leggenda vivente che rimarrà nella storia del calcio. E mercoledì ha giocato benissimo! Lo voglio nella mia squadra!”
(I love Subasic my goalkeeper, but without any hesitation I’ll say Buffon!!! Gigi is a king!!! He is an amazing player, a living legend that will stay in the History of Soccer. And he played so well Wednesday!! I want him in my team!!)
4 – Dai un voto alla stagione della tua squadra.
(Give a vote to your team’s season)
A: “Se la stagione finisse oggi, direi 9 pieno per il buon margine di vantaggio sulla seconda e con ormai più della metà del sesto scudetto in tasca, cosa che fa di noi leggenda! Aspettiamo però almeno la Coppa Italia!”.
(If the season ended today, I would say a full 9 on 10 for the good margin on the second and now more than half of the sixth shield in my pocket, which makes us legend! At least we expect the Coppa Italia!)
I: “Credo che meritino 18 su 20. Sono molto colpita e orgogliosa della mia squadra! Non meritano il massimo perché hanno perso nella coppa di Francia. Ero a Lione per la gara a sono rimasta molto delusa perché, tatticamente, non hanno prodotto il loro gioco… ma quando sei ancora in corsa in 4 competizioni è complicato essere perfetti in ogni match!”
(I think they deserve to have 18 on 20. I’m totally impressed and proud of my team!! Not 20 because they’ve lost the French Coupe de la Ligue Final. I was in Lyon to see the game and I was disappointed because they didn’t produce their normal tactical game… But when you’re engaged in 4 competitions it’s complicated to be perfect in each match!!)
5 – Chi ti ha impressionato di più della tua squadra (in stagione)?
(Who as impressed you more in the season?)
A: “Due nomi su tutti, scontato quello di Higuain che è una garanzia, direi Sami kedhira e Mr no Good Mandzukic! Incredibile soprattutto Mario, lo spirito d sacrificio e i vari ruoli che fino ad ora è stato capace d ricoprire con l’ intensità e la determinazione di un vero guerriero, tipico di quello che è lo spirito bianconero”.
(Two names above all: Higuain’s, which is a guarantee and I would say Sami Kedhira and Mr No Good Mandzukic! Mario has got the spirit of sacrifice and the various roles that until now have been able to cover with the intensity and determination of a true warrior, typical of what is the Bianconero spirit).
I: “Tutti, ma scelgo Mbappé. Dopo questi due anni posso dire che stiamo vedendo un giocatore incredibile. L’avevo visto giocare molte volte coi Giovani del Monaco e avevo immediatamente capito il suo straordinario talento! È giovane ma è incredibilmente maturo, è veloce e non ha paura davanti la rete. Lo conosco un po’ e posso dirvi quanto sia semplice e gentile. Ha tutte le qualità per diventare un futuro Pallone d’Oro, ne sono certa!”
(They all impressed me but I’ll say Mbappé. Since the two last years I keep saying how he is an incredible player. I’ve seen him several times play with the young team of Monaco, and I immediately detected his amazing talent!! He is young but has a formidable maturity, he is fast, he’s not afraid in front of the goal. I know him a little bit and I can tell you how simple and kind he is. He has got all the qualities to be one day Ballon d’Or! For sure!)
6 – Da chi invece ti aspettavi di più?
(From whom did you expected more?)
A: “Forse Pjanic, ma era anche da mettere in conto. Diciamo Pjaca che è più facile visti purtroppo i brutti infortuni, non ha potuto dimostrare molto”.
(Maybe Pjanic, but it was also to be known. I can say Pjaca who is been unfortunate with all injuries: he couldn’t show too much).
I: “Mi apsetto di più da tutti, soprattutto in questa gara contro la Juventus che può regalarci un biglietto per la finale!”
(I expect more from all of them Tuesday against Juventus, that will give us the ticket for the final!!)
7 – Calciomercato: dai un consiglio ai dirigenti.
(Transfert market: give an advice to the management.)
A: “C’è da dire che in questi anni hanno svolto molto bene il loro lavoro e non hanno bisogno di grandi consigli. Ad oggi bisognerebbe sapere, prima di fare nomi, chi deciderà di prendere altre strade!”
(It has to be said that in these years they have done their job well, so don’t need great advices. Today, we would know, before making names, who will decide to take other ways!!)
I: “Mi piacerebbe tenere tutti i miei giocatori. E anche il tecnico e il suo staff, tutti coloro che lavorano nell’ombra per rendere il Monaco la migliore squadra in Francia e una delle migliori in Europa! Il calciomercato è un periodo terribile per me perché so già che perderemo qualcuno e siccome li amo tutti vorrei cantargli ‘Please don’t go!’”
(I would love to keep all my players. And also the coach, the team around him, and all the persons in the shadows working to make Monaco the best team in France, and one of the best in Europe!! I know the mercato is gonna be an horrible period for me because we’re gonna probably loose some players… and as I love them all, I just want to sing them: please don’t go, please don’t go, don’t go away…)
8 – Visto che sono entrambe le squadre in corsa: quanto è importante vincere il campionato? Chi lo vincerà in Italia e chi in Francia? Pronostico.
(Since both teams are running for Ligue 1 / Serie A: how importanti s to win the National championship?)
A: “Vincere è l unica cosa che conta, soprattutto quando i traguardi ti portano a scrivere pagine di storia del calcio come abbiamo fatto negli ultimi anni e spero faremo ancora per molto tempo. Spesso sento dire che dovremmo pensare a vincere fuori anziché in Italia ma io credo sia necessario impegnarsi su tutti i fronti e cercare di portare a casa quanti più trofei possibili e comunque il campionato di serie A è un campionato di tutto rispetto e forse anche più difficile di certi altri. In Italia faccio un nome a caso… la Juventus! In Francia lo auguro al Monaco!”.
(Winning is the only thing that matters, especially when the goals can lead you to write pages of football history as we have done in recent years and, hopefully, we will for a long time. I often heard people saying that we should think about winning in Europe rather than in Italy but I think it’s necessary to fight upon all fronts and try to bring home as many trophies as possible and, anyway, Serie A is a respectful championship, perhaps even more difficult of some others. In Italy I make a random name… Juventus! In France I hope Monaco!)
I: “Vincere il Campionato è molto importante, è speciale. Vuol dire che sei la migliore squadra del paese e che giocherai di nuovo la Champions il prossimo anno! In Italia, senza alcuna esitazione, vincerà la Juventus perché lo merita dopo questa incredibile stagione! In Francia è quasi fatta, vincerà il Monaco! Abbiamo ancora tre gare da giocare e solo 3 punti che ci separano dal titolo! È un momento che aspettiamo da 17 anni!”
(Indeed, winning the championship is something very special, very important. That means you’re the best in your country and that you’ll play again the Champions League next season!! In Italy, without any hesitation it’s gonna be your team because you deserve it so much after this incredible season!! In France, things are nearly made, it’s gonna be Monaco!! We have 3 more matchs to play, and only 3 points left to be Champions!! 17 years we’re waiting for that!!)
9 – Una piccola o grande follia che hai fatto per la tua squadra?
(A little or big crazyness that you’ve done for your team?)
A: “Piccola follia… due tatuaggi: la J con le tre stelle e il nostro credo: Fino alla Fine!”
(Small madness… two tattoos: the J with the three stars and our motto: Till the End! “)
I: “Quando ero più giovane ho fatto un viaggio di 20 ore in bus solo per vedere il Monaco giocare a Barcellona. È stato un lungo viaggio ma è stato bellissimo vederli giocare al Camp Nou. Nel 1994. Comunque faccio sempre piccole follie per la mia squadra! Cambio i miei piani personali e professionali per vederla. Organizzo la mia agenda in base agli impegni del Monaco!”
(When I was younger I did more than 20 hours of bus only to see Monaco play in Barcelona. That was long but so beautiful tu see them play in the Camp Nou in 1994. Otherwise, for my team it’s always some little craziness!! I can change my professional or personnel schedule only to see a game. All my agenda is organized around Monaco’s games!!!)
10 – Cosa ti aspetti da questa gara di ritorno?
(What do you expert from this game?)
A: “Mi aspetto una finale e soprattutto che sappiano cosa non devono fare, cioè dare per scontata la qualificazione, perché il calcio è bello proprio perché è imprevedibile e anche se si tratta di due squadre dal livello tecnico diverso, il Barcellona insegna che niente è impossibile!”
(I’m expecting the final and, above all, that players know what they don’t have to do: take the qualification for granted, because football is beautiful just for its unpredictable and even if there are two teams with different technical level, Barcelona teaches that nothing is impossible!)
I: “Adesso che siamo quasi sicuri di avere vinto la Ligue 1 non abbiamo la stessa pressione sulle spalle. Questa gara contro la Juventus ci porta molta gioia. È una sorta di bonus stagionale! Dobbiamo giocare una buona gara, essere concentrati e non avere paura, così potremo immaginare di fare la nostra ‘remuntada’ e qualificarci per la finale! Tutto è possibile nell’arco dei 90 minuti!”
(Now that we are nearly sure to be Champions of the French Football League, we have not the same pression on our shoulders. So this game on Tuesday night against Juventus is some more happiness for us. A kind of bonus in our season!! We have to play a good game, being concentrated, not afraid and we can imagine to do our “remuntada” and win enough to be qualified for the final!! Anything is possible until the 90 minutes are not finished!!)
